WHEN RHUS TOXICODENDRON FAILS - part 1
Dr.EB NASH -Phytolacca decandra - Dr.H.C. Allen says: Phytolacca occupies a place midway between Bryonia and Rhus tox., and will often help when these seem indicated but fail.
Dr. ROBIN MURPHY Rhus venenata - History - Rhus-v. in one of the most actively poisonous of the Rhus. The skin symptoms of this species of Rhus are most severe. P. B. Hoyt, who first drew attention to it and made the first provings, says it is more poisonous than Rhus-t., which he can handle with impunity, while he was violently affected by Rhus-v. in spite of extreme caution. Further, he considers it more actively curative in a case of Rhus sore throat, when Rhus-t. failed Rhus-v. acted with excellent effect.
Rhus toxicodendron - Calc Carb ----Dr.EA FARRINGTON
We now come to the study of the action of Rhus on the fibrous tissues. Allow me to include under this tissue the aponeuroses and tendons of muscles, the ligaments about joints and the connective tissue. No remedy has a more profound action on the fibrous tissues than has Rhus tox. First of all, I will speak of its action on the tendons of muscles. We find Rhus useful whenever these tendons are inflamed, whether it be from over-exertion or from a sudden wrenching, as in the case of a sprain. We find, also, that we may give Rhus in other affections arising from over-exertion. For example, if a musician from prolonged performing on wind instruments suffers from pulmonary haemorrhages, Rhus will be his remedy. If from violent exertion a patient is seized with paralysis, his trouble may yield to Rhus tox. In sprains, Calcarea ostrearum follows when Rhus has relieved, but failed to cure.
Dr .PRAKASH VAKIL ---Brachial neuralgia - Rhus toxicodendron - "CALC-FLOUR COMPLEMENTARY TO RHUS-TOX PARTICULARLY IN RHEUMATIC CONDITIONSAND ESPECIALLY IN BRACHIAL NEURALGIA WHEN RHUS-TOX RELIEVES THE PAIN BUT FAIL TO CURE. IT IS A GREAT BIOCHEMIC REMEDY FOR STRENGTHENING THE LIGAMENT AND THEREFOREIS OF IMMENSE HELP IN CERVICAL SPONDYLOSIS".
Dr.Mohanty and Dr.Boericke Bovista lycoperdon - Relationships - Followed well by : Alum., Calc. c., Rhus t., Sep., When Rhus tox. seems indicated but fails to cure in chronic urticaria.
